Hey! I look outside and see tall banks of snow, icicles hanging off my house, and a temperature below zero.

THAT WAS THE DAY AFTER SPRING HAD OFFICIALLY ARRIVED!

  Holy Moly! Is there something between winter and spring? Someone reported on the radio a word between spring and winter as "sprinter!"

 
 
That's it: SPRINTER!
A cross between spring and winter.
It no longer means just a runner.

SPRING OF 2020 IS MEMORABLE Not sure of the timeline but some heard December, 2019 from China, others said January, 2020, and still others said February BUT we're all one in the world May, 2020 with the Pandemic... Corolla Virus also known as (aka) Corvid-19, not exactly rushing around us  but in charge of how we live our lives for the near future. Someone suggested on Facebook I plant little green onion bulbs 2 meters apart. Well, I rolled my eyes at THAT piece of advice! Practically slobbering at the thought of picking green onions I planted one row about 4 inches apart and none of them have far to shake the dirt from their little bulbs and enjoy the sunshine I wish for them and the rain that was falling gently as I closed my curtains. In this dear country it can change to snow with little or no notice... even in May!

WAR BRIDES and more by Artist Beverly Tosh

I have checked with artist, Bev Tosh, via her son, Scott. He's given permission to look at her War Bride paintings on my blog as a posting.  They came to marry the soldiers they had fallen in love with during the Second World War. Would they, could they love the men living on the prairies back on farms after the war was over? The man was home, the war over, but the women who'd married their loves were now far from the homes where they'd grown up. It was very different and daunting for them.  Canadian Artist, Bev Tosh, looks at them with a critical but loving eye - her mother was among the many War Brides coming to the soldiers with whom they'd fallen in love. My idea is to look over Bev Tosh's research of  War Brides as another Remembrance Day comes to the forefront and instill romanticism into the coldness of the month of November.
