A Story About the Middle Finger

The story as told by my friend Mary -

My nephew, Jim asked his dad, " Dad,  what does it mean when someone puts up their middle finger?"

Wilfred said, "Well, son, let me explain what each finger means."

He held up his thumb and said, " When you put your thumb up you are trying to hitch a ride."

"What about the next finger, dad?" said Jim.

"Well son, the next finger is your pointing finger, " said his dad, " When you point at something that is the finger you use."

"The next finger.... oh, we will skip it for now but the next finger is when you get married that is your RING finger, " said the dad.

"The little finger is your 'pinky' and it sticks out at a tea party when you drink your tea!"

"That middle finger is the one after you've been married a few years, you raise it up, hit yourself on the forehead and say,'What the frick have I done? Then you have to hope you can laugh!"
